And while women now earn a majority of all undergraduate and advanced degrees, they remain a small share of degree earners in fields like engineering and computer science – areas where they are significantly underrepresented in the work force."

The Leon M. Poe Scholarship Foundation promotes the necessity of diversity, equity and inclusion of college minority students majoring in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) to successful career selection by providing tools, mentorship and scholarship.


To inspire the next generation to become the most inclusive group of professionals who continue to advance the STEM field.
